Chapters 6-10
In chapter six, Vin wakes in an unfamiliar place and is immediately suspicious of her surroundings. She then meets other members of Kelsier’s crew and they discuss the plan for the job. In chapter seven Kelsier reconnects with his brother and they reminisce about old times. Then Kelsier begins Vin’s training in the use of allomancy. Chapter eight finds Vin learning the finer points of using allomancy to push and pull herself using metals and sees a mist wraith for the first time. Vin and Kelsier then travel to a small town on the outskirts of Luthadel where they meet another crew member masquerading as a nobleman named Lord Renoux.
In chapter nine, it has been several months since Kelsier and Vin met with the imposter Lord Renoux and Vin has grown considerably in her allomantic abilities. Vin and Kelsier are training her allomancy and discuss the upcoming task for Vin to impersonate a noblewoman at a ball. In chapter 10, Vin meets with Breeze, another crewmember, to learn to use allomancy to manipulate emotions. Vin observes Breeze manipulate emotions at a rebellion meeting to learn more about how it can be used. The crew discusses how they can deal with the Lord Ruler and the ministry, and what challenges await them on the course to their goal.
